I would assume it's just like any other religion. Some how is faith based, except instead of God or Christ it's Satan. Also allows for the followers to go ahead and basically partake in all of the 7 deadly sins that Christians or followers of God deem as such evil acts.

But if you really would like to know, I'd recommend checking out, "The Book of Non", or even Anton LaVey's "The Satanic Bible".

Well... there's LaVey's "Church of Satan" and Satanism and then there's actually worshiping Satan.

LaVey was a somewhat subversive elitist and denounced what he found to be hypocritical in the text of Christian works, but was himself an Atheist and emphasized that each individual should establish his or herself as an individual worthy of their own worship, not the worship of others or towards others.

Then you have the poetic elements of Lucifer, the Morning Star, the most beloved of the fallen. Check out Dante or Eminescu for some fun reading on that. Dante chose to focus less on the story and more on the imagery and irony of that fun. Eminescu wrote a brilliant poem depicting Lucifer as the Morning Star who is unaware of any inherent malevolence.

Worshiping Satan seems strange to me though, as it would admit that there is a god capable of creating a hell, and it doesn't seem like Satan would be taking job applications for baristas.

what i find funny about lavey was on his death bed, he was said to had some sort of epiphany and said "what have i done" and asked for forgiveness... its funny how ppl claim to be an atheist and in times of trouble the first thing they say is "oh God" lol.... idk... one of lavey's first and loyal followers was at his bedside during this time and has become christian and spending her life tying to warn other followers to change their ways....

Thanks Plastic_Pancakes. This kind of stuff fascinates me. I am going to have to investigate it for myself. But not yet.

kinda like during war time,i've heard a lot of soldiers say "there's no such thing as an Athiest in a fox-hole!",meaning you might claim to be Athiest but when the fire fight starts, you're praying to God you don't get killed

ANYTHING that takes your attention away from God is antichrist, by definition. eg.., coffee worship, arming your cat with a pistol, sports, money..., all can be false gods. Then there are the devil worshipers..,but really they are all the same in Gods eyes.
The part i dont get is that to believe in the devil , a person is by default admitting the existance of God, and also turning thier back on him. ood luck with that logic.

I agree with this some ...they are believing in both ... but then does that make those evil if atheist being may give them the right to some being evil or in denial ... or they don't consider their acts evil ...some atheist don't believe they are evil and may not be ...

I don't understand your logic; are you viewing devil worship from the POV of a devil worshipper or from a Xian POV of devil worship?

yea that didn't sound to right ... thinking if atheist don't believe in god then why would they believe in the devil ... and some of the things they do can be considered evil or some are not evil just don't believe in heaven and hell ... but don't worship the devil ... I believe when someone does something that is evil there is a scale for evil since some do not think somethings are evil ... did that make more since ... to you ...

Quite simple Idiots
Lucifer and his following brothers, and his fellow brothers who fell during the second fall of angels, Esp. Lucifer
Lucifer and his followers in specific fell due to Lucifers Hubris he had a contempt for humanity that exists till date bcoz he had to -according to him- bow down to inferior creations of God
Which was the paradigm of his fall and being stripped of his glory he once had in heaven, on an empathetic level if I was Lucifer I wouldn't give a flying crap about humans I would rather use them to my own ends so yeah if these ppl think they are gonna gain any favors is a sheer sign of acute idiocy!
