I am only trying to do 1 rm ... and my cat keeps pulling down the curtains I am trying to finish lol I like that. I wouldn't call it primitive though. More old-style romantic. And I'm not sure if I'd want it in my home.. Depends on the house. If you got a large kitchen, the right type of house .. I wouldn't go for the green, nor the pinky curtains, different colours. I think those curtains would absorb too much daylight and I love my light. I like them draped that way, I'd go for off-white. Dang, now I want to redecorate, lol. I do like wood, wooden floors, wooden cupboards etc. Just don't like to sit on wooden chairs.. |

I love rustic furniture. I've been making it since 1882.
I'm looking for a lady to share my crafts with. You can see my work on Pinterest. https://www.pinterest.com/danmoffett/ |

I like that type of decor but not for me. Since the late 70's when I lived in Arizona, my house(now apartment) has been decorated in Southwestern (with a little Mexican)design. I love lots of color! I will be painting my living room a soft turquoise as soon as all the xmas stuff is down. My sofa is a brick red, my recliner is multi color pinstripe and I am putting up new white curtins. I live in a garage apartment and it doesn't get as much light as I would like.
My xmas tree is all decorated in SW and Mexican ornaments that I have collected in my travels. Everyone loves it and says how unique it is. I even have a tree top angel that has darker skin (Hispanic)that I found many years ago. It goes so well with the tree decorations. Over the years I have collected paintings by Ted DeGrazia, SW and Mexican pottery and other dοΏ½cor. Will post some pics when I'm finished. |

I have gotten my kitchen part way the way I like in primitive...
I painted my frig black and part of my curtains I found are black... light beige and reddish... I did finish my cabinets in the light beige ...floor will get done when I have enough to finish it lol have one wall now its my cave wall ...not sure ...would love to paint it in the same beige as my cabinets ... when I feel better but still not sure ... found some old Puzzles being seasonal ... that where already put together an a few other primitive things ... so I am good for right now ... this light cream beige is one of the pretty colors... I have ever seen ...only paint that might top it was a wall... I did in a medium beige leather look ... long ago... |
