Providing the two people involved are able to marry each other, there are many more important reasons they choose to marry other than any age difference between them, if age does not matter to them, then it does not matter in my opinion. If age difference does matter to you then stay within the age group you are seeking, it's a personal choice.

You never know who personally connects with you at any age.

Everyone is set in time whether we want to be or not...We are a product of the time we grew up...Those experiences help shape our lives and the further removed from our own timeline that we seek a relationship, the harder it is to connect...not impossible but a lot less likely...

Its not just about age, its also our Timeline that has shaped our experiences...e.g. I can talk the Beatles because I saw them, all four, years ago at the Hollywood Bowl & they shaped my musical tastes with each song as they were recorded...You only get the CD version later on....Not the Same

Hmm.. looking for a girl between 20 and 27.. to make me feel young again.. someone who has not experienced all life has to offer..
so I may somehow experience it all.
again through her eyes ,
..and then at the very same time.. she can make me feel
very old... because I am no longer able to keep up with her physically.
