. romance.! how do you romance a woman.. what words must a man pull from the universe.. to capture. the complete. and unwavering attention. from a woman.. what pictures must he paint, with his words.. how does he touch her so deeply.. without placing a single soft touch upon her delicate skin.. how does he convey. his innermost desires.. his passion. . his very soul to her... how does he reach out to her, with just the use of a simple alphabet.... they are just words. they are letters... placed thoughtfully together... to capture her heart... to embrace her.. . to make love to her with just your words...hmm.... romance.. it is a thing for poets.. for daydreamers.. . . well done No1,, The dorian Grey of mingle,,,,lol |

Is there still romantic type guys out there who could swept you off your feet just like in the movies? No. Okay.... In reality, it truly depends one a few factors on your part. 1. What are you bringing to the table? 2. What venues are you searching? 3. How are you trying to lure one in? |

Is there still romantic type guys out there who could swept you off your feet
You are going to encounter 2 types of "romantic" types of guys. 1. Those that use "romantic" gestures as a means to manipulate your perception that they are "romantic" which ultimately leads to you getting pumped n dumped. They pay you with romance, you pay them with what they want. A social contract. Short term transaction based relationship. If guy acts like the guy in the movie, then it demands you act like the woman in the movie and offer him something in return. That's always sex, ego stroking, or emotional validation. There is always an exchange. 2. Those whose natural communication, personality, lifestyle, and interests are compatible with you that will ultimately fulfill what's needed to induce a "romantic" emotional reaction from you that you may not even realize as such except possibly in hindsight, and generally takes longer to recognize and understand as such. just like in the movies?
Movies are scripted. You understand the actor in the movie is pretending to be romantic in order to get you to buy a ticket? You understand that it's purely emotional manipulation that you yourself generally fill in due to your own stereotypes and social conditioning? "Romantic" is dependent upon your willingness to learn to communicate, your inherent compatibility in communication. The more quickly you want it, expect it, demand it...like on the first date "sweeping" you away, the more likely you are never going to find anything other than the McDonald's fast food, movie scripted version that requires you to reciprocate. |

Nope i can't agree. I kinda like the idea of being romantic for the sake of being romantic.
We ended up like the altruism discussion. |

Is there still romantic type guys out there who could swept you off your feet just like in the movies? It has to be the right guy or the romance will be swept away... What makes romance so romantic is that he is pursuing you more than his beer.... And if he smells nice, you know he's crazy about you |
