Still shines brightly within

I lay staring blankly at these textured walls

My mind is too busy reeling
A million thoughts exploding at once
Do you ever hear these heart-breaking prayers of mine?
When my feelings begin to pour like rain
Do you sit listening?
Longing to ease this pain
Or have you forgotten
All that we shared?
What I wouldn't give to hear your voice
To tell you once more my love for you
Will never die
You saved my life
But still lost your own

Sending up a silent prayer

Being greeted with open arms
