Mostly that happens because we surround ourselves with people we like being around, and of course that usually means they are of a similar consistency. They like similar things or feel the same way about topics etc. We spend our time with people who think the same way we do, so we come to believe our perspective, is the correct one. Then we come online and are exposed to people who are not at all like us. They come from all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, cultures etc. We discover that our perspective is just one perspective. Some folks freak out about that. They may even think people are disagreeing with them for the sake of argument, or to attack them personally. And may attack (back) in what they think is a response. Then some of them get used to it, and grow, and become a more layered, interesting person as a result. so well said Klc. Welcome to Mingle truthreigns - it seems as though most have already adequately answered, but here's my 2 cents worth of blah blah. There are different topics and you need to see which suit you, your personality and how much you want to interact, you will notice that honesty gets appreciated and rewarded as does following the simple rules, just as with anything in life! There are some pretty amazing people here and you need to get to know them to see through the blah blah.......good luck. I agree with both of these great people and will add my idea for what it's worth. We are all human. We have our better days and our moody days. How we respond at any given time can depend on how we're feeling and how much we interact with the people commenting. We may not always know the person who makes the original comment but are comfortable playing with those who respond. My comments are always my honest opinion, though not everyone likes them. My joking around with people is always meant in good fun and not to be hurtful. Welcome to mingle. Join us across the forums. There are some really great people on here. Do be careful of some that aren't what they seem. Wishing you the best. |

i have been looking around the forums. my ? is do people joke around and say silly things as a way to hide how they really think or feel?because if you get really deep and express yourself in todays society, you come under attack.so tell a joke, be arrogant, proud and say nothing that is truly important or shows any concern or you will come under attack! the thing with freedom to speak, is freedom to be criticized or challengd I agree, people can get very childish with the personal attaks and namecalling , but mostly we just have to be the better , mroe mature person, and learn to ignore them when its clear their intent is not truly to communicate, or learn, or share,, but just to beat someone else down,,, |

You need to not take things so personally. If one asks for opinions, who knows WHAT will be returned. Long as it is on topic, it is acceptable. Simply ignore the ones loaded with humor if that is not your thing. ^^This. |

Well for me,i only post a topic that i think make sense,but i wouldnt knock somone for just posting any old thing caus there is a large audience that respond to it,and somtimes its just for chat,and i only give my true opinion while still finding room for humor,and i dont beleive in hurting people's feelings or offending anyone,however ,if you offend me you"re going to know for sure lol,and i tend to take offence even when people do it to other people,,i know we"re all difrient but i guess am just good at sugar coating stuff at the sametime telling you nothing but truth!!!

first of!! people that say" trust me" on the interweb.. should never be trusted...
secondly.. a don't give a s*** opinion.. is still an opinion... the same as.. giving a s*** about what anybody says on the Internet.. its prospective.. .. I agree nobody likes a bully... . but nobody likes censorship... it is much easier to get rid of a Bully. then it is to get rid of.. I think humor is great,thats why i love this forum so much,overall,its realy cool,but you dont have to abuse your freedom of speach,its always wise to think first,my point is,know how far to go!!!
