boy howdy it's been a minute since the last texas mingle meet. i reckon we can get some friendly folks together somewhere in texas

Only dates I can not for now is April 11th - 18th it's cruise time..

And June 26th - 28th --- going to Schlitterbahn for the weekend with family...

As far as I know that is it so far unless something else pops up..

got a telephone call from carol today. she's doing really well. she suggested south padre island as a site for a texas mingle meet. it's way at the bottom of texas and would be a drive for some, and a drive and a half for others. if the meet is during the summer, it will be a scorcher and there aren't any shade trees at the beach

Will there be BBQ?

Humm Padre may be nice but way to far for some....We need to do some checking where to meet thought we were having the next one in San Antonio?

san antonio is kinda central texas, but just about anywhere we meet is going to be a drive for most people anyway

i do have access to an acre of property just outside of the city limits for us to set up a home base from. if we bunk up like at the brackenridge meet, we may not need to rent any hotel/motel rooms. it's got a three bedroom mobile home set up on it and is by two popular lakes near the city. it's about a thirty minute drive from there to downtown san antonio, so we can tour the city and get back with little travel time

april is fiesta week (goes on for almost two weeks really) but there is a market square and plenty of other festivals going on year round

i've got access to a bbq pit (on a trailer) that i'm sure joe can use as long as we give the owner a plate (or two) of joe's award winning bbq

i'm willing to travel to another part of texas if san antonio is not doable for everyone else. heck i may even drive to houston to pick up carol if glenda will ride in the front lol

Lmao @ Ese....... sounds good to me.... depends on the others... As before ya know it don't matter where we sleep this girl has a air up mattress I can bring.... Most of our time is spent cooking,eating, drinking and chatting anyway...

To make it clear that was the second time we had meet and talked most of the night.. The first time he asked for my number I did not have anything to write it on.. So I wrote it on a sugar packet how ironic...

He said that when the guys that work with him cleaned out his truck they had thrown it away.. And this time he had his phone and put it in right then.. lol

so you kiss and tell on the SECOND date. dagnabit, i knew i should have asked you on a second date the first time i met ya. oh well, i'm sure if i mingle here for a minute or two i'll find someone
