A little fresh coming from you. Or is this your way of playing another race card. There is nothing in the OP pertaining to race. What gives, Franky? I was talking about negativity I understand your point Franky, Ms harmony's last entry,Unable to accept responsibility, blaming others but themselves for their actions and problems can to a certain extent be applied to race.I also agree with ms Harmony's thread some people are just psychic vampires this also is very true. |

I can't remember how, but I learned to take negative stuff on the chin. I deal with things by using humour. If anything looks like trouble, I just humour it. What else CAN you do? I think throwing a tantrum over such things, would make me look stupid. A good job I'm pretty tough like that. I'm also of the mind, that growing up on a council estate, can harden you. As you get used to loudness of it.

I had an idea, about helping hospital patients express their emotions, who had lost their voices from having throat cancer. I would set up a music class. They could choose which instrument they wanted to play. Then this would always lead to us playing live. They could play a cover of any song, or make a completely new piece of music. Haven't set this idea up yet, but thought it could help them get over the sadness of not having a voice anymore. I'll see how it goes ;)

Negativity washes off a truly positive person because if it's more than just lip service and play acting, you've self esteem over the opposition.
Sustained unhealthy personal environments however, do require self affirmation and resilience. But the instant the environment becomes healthy it is as if the bad never was. The trick is just don't corrupt yourself whilst you're there. Some would say easier said than done but it's not. You just have to be okay with seeming a bit scattered when you're in a place that's inappropriate for your personality, and being okay with that. Just a case of getting over ego. Humility is the lesson. It is a strength, not a weakness. When a group of idiots call you an idiot, learn to have a sense of humour about being an idiot. It's funny. That's strong of you. Later, a group of awesome dudes will go, you're awesome, and you can go, no you're the man, they go no you're the man, you go no you're the man, etc. :D Positivity just being cool with things being cool even if they're not. It'll work out. |

I think more often than not people have just given up on themselves and leech onto another person's happiness because they are just afraid of everything.
