I'm a member of a Dutch dating site that's got a similar thing to Mingle's Mutual Match.
Sometimes it's fun to click through it. Friend of mine once told me to basically think "Do and can I wake up next to that every morning for the rest of my life?" when going through pictures on a dating-site.

An hour later, my finger is about to fall off from clicking, I'm fed up with it, feel a headache coming up, eyes starting to turn red from staring at the screen.

Don't you believe it mate. I've been to Holland. They are just like that. Not exactly the laid back tolerant lot that you might have been led to believe. I actually had a Dutch woman come up to me once complaining about how nobody speaks Dutch in Amsterdam. They do that with the complaining about stuff that you can't do anything about and that isn't your fault. It's probably best to just humour them. After a while you realise that it's not you that they have a problem with and that it's just a different culture and over there smiling and being friendly isn't obligatory if you're working in the service industry and there is a certain irony to asking for a happy meal if you go to a McDonalds over there. It's that sort of dry sense of humour where you think that their faces would crack if you got a smile out of them.

This made me laugh, because it sounds like exactly what I do. . Nothing that serious going on with me and any guy. Just there for the banter. I can't be bothered pouring my emotions into someone I'd never meet. Sometimes it's nice not having to bare the burden, of waking up next to a guy, who doesn't come across as very nice. I can see how it would make people think twice.
