Free will is a gift to mankind. It's up to us how we use it, for good or for evil. I am for the greater good.

I believe there is mote good than bad, but it's not often shown.

It's also our choice in what we show to the world. We can't be responsible for the actions of others. But we can set the example by showing kindness to the world.

Horrible stories on the news always scares me easily. Notice how they mainly report BAD things happening? I'm glad I have my dog, so that I feel more protected while outside. I feel it's become a more dangerous place to be.

I think there is more good in the world. I remember all of the people who helped me during bad times...complete strangers sometimes...when I had a rough time. Some never knew me that well but just helped out of sheer kindness...I almost didn't trust it at first ...kept looking for the ulterior motive...lol

I think people are mostly inherently good. Even though a lot of bad things happen, the good will come out in the end in most of us.

The bad, serious serial criminals and such are a small percentage but what they do is so horrific that the rest of us cannot understand and that is why it gets so much attention out of proportion.

I think we can make the world a better place by paying more attention to the good.

We're going into another dark ages more than anything else. The main thing about the dark ages that made it "the dark ages" wasn't the level of technology they had but it's the level of general ignorance that carried it.
I believe we're generally put to exhibit more primal level than anything else. We have a society that endorses that as normal. I also believe we're taught by example to be more prone to dehumanize others than we are able to functionally work with humility in mind. Now I get that this'll vary by culture in the details but we literally have people accepting something that's evil and calling it good because other people do it or it's of personal benefit to them. It also happens on every level somehow and to every walk of life.

When it comes down to actual growth of being we have a society that's more about growing sideways than growing upward for an individual. Our factors for being an adult are based on 3 things: 1)You have money and can show it 2)you have sex (And in some cases can have kids) and 3) You're of legal age. Our mainstream media output is also geared to a 12-16yr old mentality range. The basic dehumanization factors we have as a society and carry down even into interpersonal communication can be summed up as follows: Wealth = worth, might = right, confusion of respect (understanding and acting within accordance of that understanding) with fear (control and conditioned responses), calling humility communism (they're utterly different), replacing honorable with classy and your appearance = what you are.

Then you have some of our "upwardly positive words" all involve money.
Security = has money saved or in holdings (not strong in the self enough to be able to at least rationalize fear if you can't find a way around the cause)

Ambition = You willingness to make money (not your actual drive from within to excel as a being)

Stability = You have money coming in and you have money saved up (not that you're a functional individual person who has their own mind and thoughts)

Progress = It makes money (not actual movement upwards as a being or in general for everyone)

Innovation = A new money maker (Not that it'll better the general whole of society)

Moving into the Future = Making sure the money generated from it will be sustained increased (Not that it'll be more easy or better the world and certainly not that it means you'll be leaving the old way behind.)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Now all of this is great for making stereotypes, followers, consumer, sociopaths and manipulators. It's a great way to have people that will be materialistic (and value it above other people), people that will react before thinking and people who run on their wants selfishly as well as people who will confuse desire with necessity. What this doesn't do is create individuals, functional people or make anything work in a way that'll benefit everyone's actual needs. None of it emphasizes an individual, their pursuits, being able to be open, or ensures an advancement on a general level for anyone. None of it even puts "Adult" to show that they're "advanced past the state of a child or adolescent by way of their mind or heart".

When it comes down to Hobbs (people need to be ruled because they're paranoid stupid oafs) and Locke (the will of the people and their consent determines rulership and the laws of the land) factoring into things... We're a society that's "very Hobbs" with a "fake Locke mask on". In essence we're breeding (or to be more accurate, we're socially reinforcing it on each other via media and personal interactions)our "paranoid stupid oafs" to make the "they need to be ruled" part a self fulfilling prophecy. The amazing part (other than people forget these two writers even though they basically helped to move western society out of a "monarchial state of order") is that we literally have enough people in society that would agree with Hobbs without recalling it.

I don't think good or evil for most people can be fairly accumulated before they've died/ended the current flow of the lifetime. People in general are very good at making sure the world is a shade of dark gray all the time though and it's largely due to not caring to see past themselves. (This is largely caused by the fact that we are more based in a physical reality alone with faulty guidelines for growth. The problem with doing that is that a physical reality breaks down.)

Otherwise this world is placed more in a "mid zone" within the multiverse more than anything else. ("Just left of center" kinda.)It's why both "good and evil"/"right and left hand path" can affectively work here. IF we're ever to move out of that set up by way of higher and lower vibrational energies, that's going to come from what we "radiate collectively". So far as humanity sits in general, we're more stuck in a general karmic loop than we're making headway on ascending to anything new. There is also an individual factor to it too so we all don't go to hell (so to speak) for the actions of the many if we don't partake or enable them.

William Peter Blatty's, who attended Jesuit-run schools, "trilogy" the Exorcist, Twinkle Twinkle Killer Kane and Legion deal with the question- If we deny g-d due to the evidence of all the evil in the world, can we affirm g-d due to all the goodness in the world?

A more-accurate question would be this:
"Do you believe that Evil in the World is more evident than non-Evil?"

People ignore the existence of Evil at their own peril.
