The other day I was at the grocery store a very nice looking man smiled and said hello, I nicely smiled and said hello back. A few aisles later there he was again, he said hello again with an even bigger smile, I said hello again to you smiling back. Then checking out he's right behind me, we exchanged a few words, coincidence? I don't know I haven't flirted in so long I don't know how. How do you even flirt anymore at our age? I don't do the bar scene, so if guess the grocery store is where I would probably meet someone did I not do enough?

Well...my first theory is the guys in a grocery store...that says a little. It's very likely that he has a job, he's buying groceries, so it's very likely that he is single, and has the initiative to take care of himself, and he just so happens to be everywhere you are...I'd say there's a good chance he was checking you out.

Another theory is that he could be on food stamps, buying groceries for his mom, who he lives with, and he was stalking you waiting for the first chance to pounce....or he could of just been a married guy who was being polite....but believe it or not- the first theory seems more logical. It happens all the time.

Regardless....meeting someone in a grocery store is way better then meeting someone at a bar- that is, if your looking for something worth having. Too bad he didn't have more to say to you then just "hello".

;) You did fine. Next time if you both meet up again accidentlly & the same gestures were given as before, then by all means ask him out. Fate comes when you're least expected. So don't stalk the same grocery store in hopes to catch him again. Lol. Best of luck!

I'm awful at flirting, my brain just doesn't function in those ways...So while someone can be hitting on me, I'm treating it as a natural conversation and continuing on in that manner. Further, I'm wary of anyone who flirts with me...You want my world domination plans, huh? Fat chance, babe.smokin

I've learned it feels better saying "oh well" than it does saying "what if"...

RCB, just as a matter of interest, where do you shop, I may just bump into you accidently one daylaugh
It's a long way to go for a jar of coffee though
