actually 8 dollars to 20 is the same ratio as 8.40 to 21 dollars,,, ok. what I am saying is when a percentage increase is given then the lower the wage the less the dollar amount increase between the 2. SS and its cola raise is based on this. so are many jobs. the more you make the more in real dollars you get as a raise. this futhers the poor and the middle class living wage in what they can buy. No, that is not what you are saying. What you are saying is that if I wanted to give a valued employee a raise, then I would need to give that same dollar amount to one not so worthy making them even more worthless. So the good news Mr. $8 an hour, I giving you a raise to $9 an hour. The bad news is your fired because your cost just exceeded your worth.
