I cannot speak for the US military as a whole; there may be some secret plan in the works, but as a Guardsman, I can tell you we do routinely practice our riot control training, where we line up with shields batons and helmets, but we've been doing that for over 20 years. I have yet to actually do any of that outside our armory.

I cannot speak for the US military as a whole; there may be some secret plan in the works, but as a Guardsman, I can tell you we do routinely practice our riot control training, where we line up with shields batons and helmets, but we've been doing that for over 20 years. I have yet to actually do any of that outside our armory. Practice is one thing. Will you take up arms against family and friends should your government order you to? If they are rioting against unconstitutional actions of the government? |

Seems a POTUS can federalize the National Guard anytime he "sees a need" for it,especially to squash "Insurrections" in the US itself! |

Yes they do but they can also be Federalised(I think that's the term) when they are called into active service and under command of the President. |
