What do you think about people that go on about their moral values and things that other people do that they consider to be bad when they add some lame disclaimer such as, "Only He can judge", or "I'm only talking about my personal feelings and not actually having a go at anyone else"?

Americans do this the most I find. I guess they haven't got the guts to just come right out and say what they want to say.

it's pussification of america, we have been force fed this idea of political correctness. one cannot offend others by speaking the truth or offering an opinion that may or may not be popular. god forbid anyone should have their feelings hurt or even worse, be made to feel like they are not in with the cool crowd.

I agree. Even on this site it isn't unusual for a person to be put down for expressing a minority opinion.

And this has what to do with being a 'liberal'?

Created by voting hysteria in the 80's to 90's...Like a lot of the problems we suffer from now.

My question is that does a question like this make you better than them? Or equal?

It doesn't have anything to do with being either liberal or conservative.

If you say so, Inspector Clouseau.

What it has to do with being a liberal is that liberalism is the doctrine that there is no single "conception of the good". If you hold that society should be a liberal society you are prioritising liberal values over all of the other values.

I think people who have values that differ from your own have the right to state that and deserve the same kind of tolerance that one hopes they would have for others. It is the one who is being intolerant that looks bad regardless of which side of the fence they sit on morality-wise.

I think it is nice that people draw a distinction between their opinion and that they do not mean things as a personal attack (" having a go at anyone else)"

Kind of BS though. "I hate racism, sexism, homophobia, etc but my saying so in no way is a personal attack against anyone".

One must never fail to pronounce moral judgment.

Nothing can corrupt and disintegrate a culture or a man's character as thoroughly as does the precept of moral agnosticism, the idea that one must never pass moral judgment on others, that one must be morally tolerant of anything, that the good consists of never distinguishing good from evil.

It is obvious who profits and who loses by such a precept. It is not justice or equal treatment that you grant to men when you abstain equally from praising men's virtues and from condemning men's vices. When your impartial attitude declares, in effect, that neither the good nor the evil may expect anything from you, whom do you betray and whom do you encourage?

But to pronounce moral judgment is an enormous responsibility. To be a judge, one must possess an unimpeachable character; one need not be omniscient or infallible, and it is not an issue of errors of knowledge; one needs an unbreached integrity, that is, the absence of any indulgence in conscious, willful evil. Just as a judge in a court of law may err, when the evidence is inconclusive, but may not evade the evidence available, nor accept bribes, nor allow any personal feeling, emotion, desire or fear to obstruct his mind's judgment of the facts of reality,so every rational person must maintain an equally strict and solemn integrity in the courtroom within his own mind, where the responsibility is more awesome than in a public tribunal, because he, the judge, is the only one to know when he has been impeached.
*******
The man who refuses to judge, who neither agrees nor disagrees, who declares that there are no absolutes and believes that he escapes responsibility, is the man responsible for all the blood that is now spilled in the world. Reality is an absolute, existence is an absolute, a speck of dust is an absolute and so is a human life . . .

There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil. The man who is wrong still retains some respect for truth, if only by accepting the responsibility of choice. But the man in the middle is the knave who blanks out the truth in order to pretend that no choice or values exist.
