We all have one, you know....

What have you done lately to nurture yours?

My inner child is nurtured more than most since I have the spirit of an otter, but..........

the other day when it was raining, I grabbed Tom away from his football game and tugged him outside. Bewildered, but co-opererative, he followed my instructions. (His inner child was hibernating...)

I pulled him out into the torrential rain. Strategically, I positioned him in the front yard and gave him the following prompts:

Close your eyes....raise your arms to the sky, palms upward, open your mouth, and stick out your tongue to catch as many raindrops as possible. Now.....turn slowly in circles--just like you did when you were a kid!

We laughed, and laughed and ended up dancing in the rain.

 bigsmile

Sometimes you've just got to appease the restless child within...

Your turn....

blushing blushing Oh dear....nurture the inner child?

It's getting the Ritalin into it, that is the problem for me...laugh laugh

Every single day Whispers, every single day, I skip, sing out loud, dance in the checkpit queue, build sandcastles and elaborate tunnels...

I fire twirl with friends every now and again..

My inner child is so well nourished, it is borderline obese...bigsmile flowerforyou

laugh laugh Jess...........

I'm like that, too! Sad, though, isn't it, that so many people in this world are so serious and wouldn't giggle to save their lives....

Life's too dang short not to enjoy it to it's fullest!
bigsmile   glasses

I call it the 'F*ck it factor" or F*ckitol" a decision...just to let it all hang out and be damned what others think...mud fights with the kids...playing in puddles, sandcastles fit for a faery queen, when is the last time you walked along the top of a brick fence? (she asks with wicked gleam in her eye)

I made playdough, after finding the recipe for Katie.....for me!!! My playdough...laugh that I shared with my daughter..

I think my inner child is LOST. I used to love to walk in the rain, I can't tell you how long it's been since I've done that...

my inner child gets some tweaking every now and then....needs it a little more often though. Usually it breaks out at the most inopertune times (like at work)...guess that's when it is needed the most.bigsmile laugh bigsmile

My inner child comes out every Sunday when I play with the pre-schoolers at church. Yesterday it was playdough. Gooey, sticky fun.

My two dogs pull my inner child out to play ALL THE TIME. I get on the floor at their level - which is their FAVORITE thing in the world - and we play with toys and one another.
