what a monumental fug up...
 *sighs*
my youngest asked if I could babysit ONE night last week(last Tuesday).. one turned into another... then another.. then another.. and they FINALLY left on Saturday afternoon.. only because I put my foot down and told her to GET OUT! I adore my g-baby.. but I'm NOT the nanny OR maid for her although in HER words "you're different... you're my mom.. you're SUPPOSED to help"  not when I have to put MY work off AND my life.. so SHE can have a life  you'd think she was the ONLY one EVER to be a single mom of ONE.. I managed solo(as did MANY other mothers) for 18 years as a SINGLE MOM of TWO.. and I survived rather nicely, as did they! I don't MIND helping out.. however.. I will NOT be treated like the hired help by ANYone.. esPECIALLY when I'm doing THEM a favor!
and to top things off.. yesterday was my birthday.. my eldest called to offer happy greetings AND to see what I'd like to do.. so we made plans for today (after I do some work/work).. while the OTHER one called JUST to see if I could take g-baby off her hands while she moved (she waited until the very last day to actually start packing  ).. I would have but when things like "f-you" and "shut the fug up, IF I want you're opinion I'll ASK for it" are flung my way.. I tend to get a "pizz off" attitude towards that person and TYPICALLY extract them from my life comPLETEly! I am NOT a user, nor do I like be used! the WORST part is.. she called at 10 PM to ask  while I was getting into bed! (I'm still trying to catch up on sleep from LAST week here  )
anywho.. suffice to say I can't stand her degrading voice.. however I DID offer to take him today IF she doesn't have a/c in the NEW place cuz the temps are rising to 41 C (106 F) and well... it's times like these kids and seniors are at the highest risk of serious health issues (if not death)! but all she did was yell at me and say I had to go get him..  funny how she has money to pay for other peoples gas when SHE wants to go out and party.. but when it comes to her own childs saftey.. everyone ELSE has to step up!
sorry for the folks.. I'm just VERY with the monster I've seemingly created who is SOOO opposite of me it's  .. maybe she was switched at birth?? I just have NO idea where she got the sense of "entitlement" from when all I've shown her is "if you WANT something out of life, you have to work hard to EARN it" and "do unto others as you would have done unto YOU" *sighs*
life will unfold as it should..
UP SIDE???  I gots a short WORK week happening.. 3 days ON.. 4 days OFF  the house is an AWEsome 72 F while OUTside it's hard to breathe it's soo hot.. however that pool is amAZingly refreshin

you also deserve to put her out of your life for awhile and to say no sometimes soon. Personally I would tell her to speak respectfully or communication of any kind would end. I could not handle that kind of stress on a regular basis. But we all have different tolerance levels. It sounds like somewhere she developed an attitude of entitlement (not your fault). But she made baby sooooooo she's agonna have to live with the consequences. honestly the sooner she learns that the happier you all will be...just my opinion |
