Been watching some survival shows on tv.lately,and my Question is- If this happened to you would you be able to live on what you forage?

Come on country boy, Being a veteran yourself "i don't swing that way"! Some of the shows especially"Naked and Afraid" amuse me on how stupid they are!! The others are more realistic that you can learn new techniques in survival!! Mainly just seeing if anyone can survive without the nearby Grocers and modern convinces? Before it ends it may be required! It may require some of these pretty ladies depending on someone and also sharing their skills-techniques!

OK, OK, serious answer...no problem..spent a lot of time pack backing and roughing it when I was younger....Although it's been a while..Also, raised by a MACSOG veteren...he'd be very disappointed if I couldn't take care of myself.

Besides, I agree, I can think of some people on this sight, of the female persuation, I would love to get lost with in the woods.

The last time I did any foraging was when I tried to give up smoking by not buying any fags before the shops shut. Ended up picking up dog ends at a bus stop.

Yes, Quite a few!! But would they be beneficial or a hindrance? That's where i'm going with this. You seem square up in possible survival if the time comes. I tried watching that Zombie,Vampires,B S but lets face it "dead is dead"! The only thing that compares some to that scenario is the Homeless, or possible someone in prison that has nothing to loose when they escape? But then again could this be a possible future thought? Shows all over the network of these future happenings. And could you keep enough essentials in your stomach to nourish you for years,not days?

Survival is not "out of the can then in the pan" just won't work. You always have to keep your belly from meeting your backbone! One hell of a way for a crash diet!!

i lost interest in those shows when one of those idiots was telling people to pee on there shirt and then wrap it on their head...

Yeah i saw that show also. But there are the basics on survival,and since the warmer weather is hopefully coming soon then why not spend some time Trying? Gets you out of the house! Take some supplies and GO! Its called Camping with a Twist, Nothing to loose Everything to Gain!!
