Topic: The Two Temples...{for good parents everywhere)ree | |
---|---|
A builder builded a temple
He wrought it with grace & skill: Pillars and groins and arches All fashioned to work his will. Men said, as they saw its beauty , "It shall never know decay; Great is they skill, O Builder! Thy fame shall endure for aye" A Mother builded a temple With loving and infinite care, Planning each arch with patience, Laying each stone with care, None knew of her unceasing efforts' None knew of her wondrous plan, For the temple the Mother builded Was unseen by the eyes of man... Gone is the builder's temple, crumbled into the dust: low lies each stately pillar, Food for consuming rust... But the temple the Mother builded Will last while the ages roll, For the temple the Mother bulded Was a child's immortal soul.... by Hattie Vose Hall |

Green Eyed Lady42...thank you...
Isn't that beautiful??? I just love it, Parenthood doesn't always have immediate rewards, So, it is always nice to have encouraging messages, quotes & poems to help get us through the tough times when we feel that our efforts are not noticed, as well as the days when it is clear sailing... to help put things in better perspective .... I appreciate you for your compliments... And I encourage everyone to never give up... Children are our most valuable & most precious blessing... |

Thank you Baby_gurl...Ah...You are so kind...
I must be at least the runner- up in reigning typo queens, and as I peruse this poem I entered today.. I see a huge mistake in the wording. You need to know what it really says. If you copied it, please change the part that says.. Laying each stone with care...to... "Laying each stone with PRAYER," thanks for the love and patience Vanessa that is of utmost importance... |
