If my neighbor has such low self esteem as to want to commit slow suicide by using heroine and/or meth, what right do I have to instill my beliefs on him if he is doing no harm to me or mine or any other living soul.

While humans are by nature charitable souls, it is within that realm that help should be offered, but if refused then nature will take it's course. It is only if that individual becomes destructive to a point of harming another that another may interfere.
