Topic: why Dont girls respond..

They don't want to respond...What business is it of yours as to their reasoning behind that decision?

it's easier to cry and whine about it...

But it lacks logic...Logically this question is not going to be answered, there are too many variables, and that's even if you can get some ladies to tell you why they don't respond for the myriad of reasons I'm sure they have.

It is, as far as I can tell, an utterly worthless pursuit that isn't going to solve anything at all.

Logic=Win.smokin

yes, but logic is something you don't see a lot in the forums... I just see it as a weak attempt to get attention so they think someone might feel sorry for them... but i could be wrong...ohwell

Last girl I dated was only a member for a couple of weeks and she said her inbox had over 150 messages within a few days of joining, it was literally impossible to even read them all let alone respond to them all.
It was so overwhelming she deleted her account after a couple of weeks, she said.

And the truth is any halfway decent lady doesn't have to try that hard to get dates or sex, if a date site turns out to be a big hassle and for many women it really really is, why would they continue to bother with the site at all, let alone sitting down for the next year to reply to all the penis-picture and sexually entitled messages they get.

I never got any penis pictures....go figure...

want some?

nah...they all look alike...pretty much....never noticed much variation in form or color

yea, not my area of expertise there, so I'll take your word for it... laugh

Oh, and this is the disclaimer that we are supposed to believe...lol?

supposed to...

I just usually let them know, if I think we're too opposite. I don't want to waste my own time, accepting to date just anyone, just because some guy happens to feel randomly horny that day.

I am VERY selective of whom I respond to and it has to do with a few variables. What they wrote on the profile and on the email they sent to contact me. Their pictures and what they tell me, where they live, what they are interested, the age difference if there is any, their probable relationship expectations and their looks. I know this may be too much for some people but there is really no point on making someone feel bad about an awkward "Thank you but no thank you" email answer. It's just me and how I do things but I am not saying its the best or even the acceptable thing. You wanted to know and so I answered your question. If you are not getting too many responses then you may want to consider a few reasons and not only one.

I usually don't message back if people don't share at least a few interests of mine because I'm afraid I might bore them as I'm eternally hobbies-oriented and a real nerd in all respects. xD

That or I ignore the "hi cutie" type messages or anything directly asking to marry, find a soulmate, anything just super direct when they don't even know me. I'm here for friendship only for now anyway.

Personally, i really don't like IM with a total stranger. Instant messages are like superficial chatting ("How are you? What are you doing?" etc.) and i can do such light chatting only with a person i already know a little bit more. That's why i even disabled IM. However, i do reply to mails if they interest me, i.e. if the guy has a revealing profile with pics, text, and arouses my interest with the profile as well as with his mail message. if he interests me and is decent, polite, open, patient, he will probably get a reply and i would want us to find out if we can develop futher communication based on common intersts, trust, openes etc. (even going to IM later on). if the profile doesn't tell me much about him (and so doesn't help me to see if i am interested or not), and/or the message is just sth like "Hi!"/"Hi, cuttie.../I like your picture..." etc., he most probably won't get a reply....

Internet communication is not like real-life communication, but it can reveal a lot about the person, not only by what is said/written but also by what is not said/written (even on the profile). So, we have every right to judge the person by it, and to follow our own pattern of developing trust, communication, liking etc. Pushing, prejudice, big expectations and fixed ideas are usually deterrents....

I hope this helps you understand "unresponsive women" a bit more, but of course there are all sorts of people here, and thanks God for that...biggrin

Mingle2 is a dating site. So,any girl here means, they are here for men. Be it for love, friendship, sex or whatever. Here my question comes to girls, if someone message you what is the problem to respond? Think on this. This is applicable only to those girl/ women who doesn't reply to messages, others can just follow the topic or add points even if you feel so.

ummm... every girl is not here for men, nor is there any obligation for them to respond to anyone... if they do, good for you, if not, move on to the next... not real hard...

Noone is obligated to respond to anyone on here. Maybe they just aren't interested.

I will usually respond and let the person know whether or not I am interested, but I don't feel obliged to do this.

Maybe they have their mind elsewhere. Or just aren't interested.

See how oblivious the young woman is to the guy with his hands under the desk.

If I responded to every email or instant message I received I would have to shut my life down and do nothing else.

For a variety of reasons I am here I still do not see that anyone else's definition of the purpose of this site is necessary for me to apply to myself.

Do I see an obligation to respond to men, who clearly ignore my profile limits or address me with disrespectful, demanding, queries into my personal information, or obviously not ever going to be in my life? NO.

I understand there may be cultural differences in various communities that insist that women submit to unwanted advances but in MY community women of any age have a choice and I exercise it liberally.

The belligerent undertones, directive dismissive premise of entitlement to and answer, and demeaning reference to women as girls is offensive and probably weighs heavily as to why you have experienced rejection.

If a woman has had a flurry of such offensive contacts she will either ignore current posts or often respond in very direct, very clear, even harsh terms to be left alone by anyone she does not want contact with.

If you have rude, minimal, incomplete, illiterate profile, or poor photos to introduce you the common response would be of rejection.
