These married men are either trying to relive their youth or the more obvious answer is that these men are not happy. The same prinicple apllies to women too.

No1 I like taller men plus I like to wear high heels. I am the shortest one of my siblings. My tallest brother is 7'.

My mum is 5ft 11 and a half and brainy. She's also one of the most approachable people that you could meet and she used to do Mauy Thai. Why would any woman intimidate me when, that was the sort of woman who raised me?

not really, a womans attitude and how she presents herself is way more important than her looks, IMO...

maybe thats why he was married, and the others are single... don't women like confidence/playfulness in guys? if the single guys are missing out, then they will remain single because they aren't taking the chance...

In General, how many guys here on mingle2 would truly approach a woman like me and ask her on a date? I think it is so much easier to say it online, but to actually do it in real life, is a totally different ball game.

Maybe it is also because I smile most of the time, but I am a little shy. All you have to do is approach me and start talking and I will engage in a conversation with you.

depends on what the situation is... i don't approach women that are with friends like that, but when they are by themselves and seems like they are wanting to talk with someone, then yes...

Ok, now I'm intimidated. Remember I get beat up by girls, I am not taking on anyone's 7' tall brother. Truthfully, I would so approach you heels and all. I have before, only to be sent home heart in hand, more than once(hence the self-deprecating humor).
Smile, it makes people think you're up to something. In my case, some of the voices in my head are actually quite funny. Some of the jokes they tell, I fear, are not for public consumption.

I think men can indeed be somewhat intimidated by a taller woman, but I think it's mostly to do with radiating inner strength, which many people find scary, but that has nothing to do with a person's height. But all in all taller people intimidate more easily than shorter ones. In teaching it was an advantage but you got to live up to it, cos the initial intimidating effect due to height won't save your @$$ as a teach if you're simply a tall pushover.

Being tall as a woman makes it more difficult to find a partner, because many men are shorter. And I for one don't want a shorter partner. And many men prefer a short woman, even if she's much shorter than him, they seem to like that even more. I never got that, must make kissing and sex very awkward, but I guess it makes men feel more macho?

Why you keep mentioning long legs over and over, I don't really get. Don't see what that has to do with it. Makes me feel you are attention seeking to be honest.

Thought I'd offer my 2 cents worth, seeing as I was married to a tall man. He's 6'6", and I'm 5'6". I had a lot of neck pain while we were married, and he had a lot of back pain. He often didn't look at women, but if there was a tall woman around he'd always look. Never in a disrespectful way, but I know he was attracted to tall women.

As a point of interest, I don't necessarily think he is the norm, but he is actually insecure about his own height. He hates that he stands out in a crowd. A tall woman would probably help him feel less isolated. Maybe a tall man would appreciate you in that aspect as well as for your other fine qualities.

For the record though, what that other person said about "what others say about you is none of your business" I thought was on the money. Focus your energy on being your dazzling self : )
