I think as the world population becomes more conscious that the need for religion will continue to decrease.

As long as greed, ego exist in this world, religion will walk along to fulfill needs and to control people. ;-)

For some religion can help give meaning/value to life. If it heals and nourishes then I see its relevance.

...but for the religious: it's about politics.

Is there a time politics are no longer necessary, and will we all be waring SS badges on that day?

Religion seems to be more of a problem than an solution these days.

After years of thought I've decided to start my own. It's time to pass the hat. Maybe in 2000 years I can have my own country & write my own rules? We can publish massive amounts of papers spouting our own versions of the truth & get everyone to fight about it. Then, while those that love to hear their own voice mesmerize the crowd, we'll pick their pockets expanding the country's social boundaries. Sound like a plan?

Maybe that's too lifelike to consider? After all, where's the deep thought?

For something that's meant to stand for good, there's been more wars and people killed in it's name, than you could ever believe possible! Then you have all the brainwashed Sheep, throwing their ideals down your throat and condemning you because you don't share their views? If you ask me the real evil is religion and the hypocrites that follow it!

For some religion can help give meaning/value to life. If it heals and nourishes then I see its relevance.

i would agree, but when the church decides what is right and wrong, thats where the problems start... wars, greed and then the religious zealots want to control everyone else...

no, just like unions, they both are a thing of the past...

Unfortunately I think that may not be the case. Islam vs False Christianity could create problems that we won't be able to ignore.

War....War(s). Once they bring their petty bickering to the edge of your town at gunpoint. You can't ignore it anymore. You're force to pick a side just to defend your assets.
Then chances are your assets will be destroyed anyway, with you on the inside, just trying to stay partial.

Religion is bad........The idea of religion is Good......but the item itself, tends to take on the habits of its creators. Which is always to expand into new territory at any price... To "save" the non-believers of course. Save them from their ignorance.

If Islam and False Christianity get locked in a power struggle we may get drawn in whether we like it or not.

Islam? I true doubt it. Some of the so called Christian religions aren't much better. In my opinion. I just see some Biblical passages ringing true. Luke 21:8 Mark 13:6 and Mathew 24:5 "For many will come in my name, claiming I am the Messiah, and will deceive many."

How many thousand so called Christian religions do we have doing exactly that, right now?

Religions are the identity of the particular community
bt we should nt discriminate ppl just 4 the shake of diff. race or religion
love and humanity is above any religion or race
