IM POSITIVE The math is off,,

It was $9.4 trillion in 2008.

It was $5.7 trillion in 2000.

So, yeah, the U.S. debt has increased by $7.9 trillion during the last 6 years, as opposed to the $3.7 trillion increase during the previous 8 years.

still a bit off

at the beginning of fiscal year 2001 (the former admns 1st fiscal budget)
the debt was 5.8 trill

at the end of fy 2009 (the former admins last fiscal budget)
the debt was 11.9 tril

a 6.1 trill increase

the increase since then, (17.3 minus 11.9) is more ike 5.4 trill

http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/pd/histdebt/histdebt_histo5.htm

but there s still time to catch up to the previous 8 year record, and maybe surpass it

According to Forbes, “Obama’s own fiscal 2013 budget ... shows federal spending increasing from $2.983 trillion in 2008 to an all time record $3.796 trillion in 2012, an increase of 27.3%” and, “before Obama there had never been a deficit anywhere near $1 trillion.”

In addition, Obama had four consecutive budget deficits of over a trillion dollars and, in just one term, will “will have increased the national debt as much as all prior Presidents, from George Washington to George Bush, combined.”

And according to the study, budget proposals supported by Obama and Congressional Democrats will increase federal spending to the point where it will become 80% of the GDP if not reined in.

And in the short term, according to Forbes:

Obama’s 2013 budget proposes to spend $47 trillion over the next 10 years, the most in world history by far, increasing federal spending by $1.5 trillion above the current CBO baseline.

The first step in treating Obama’s spending addiction will be for him to admit he has a problem. What should scare Americans is that Obama seems a long way from even realizing he has a spending problem, let alone admitting that he does.

never a deficit near a trillion?

um, except that fiscal year 2009 was officially a fiscal year of BUSH,,and it was 1.4 trill

since then, there were 3 fiscal yeas under Obama to get it back DOWN under 1 trillion

and still set to decline back to 2008 half trillion

Well... A large amount of the BUSH deficit was TARP. TARP was a loan and not spending. That was roughly $700 billion added to the deficit.

Most of the TARP money was paid back with interest, therefore, that money cannot be counted against the debt we have today.

Secondly, Obama's stimulus was also included in the 2009 deficit and it was spending.

$300 or so billion spent in 2009..

That is definitely counted towards the debt.

Real Africans hardly divorce, thats not our culture

Yea, real Africans murder, rape, decapitate, burn, starve, butcher, steal and beg for foreign aid. That's their culture. Divorce is too civil for real Africans.

So we are all aware...

South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius formally charged in the murder of his girlfriend model Reeva Steenkamp, prosecutors will push for a premeditated murder charge

Why bother with messy divorces...

Muslim, aka, Islamic law.

When stoning a man, he is buried to the waist.

Women are buried to their necks.

If, they can dig themselves out and escape, they are free to live.

Some men escape and live. Most women who escape are stoned while trying to escape.

Im afraid we are in no position to talk considering the level of rapes, murders, recent mass shootings in theaters, schools, ect. The Newtown slaughter of 20 children is a reflection of a society. I think Americans should look at their own decedence instead of others so as to not have to be responciable for their own condition.
