Topic: is valatines day all about sex

For me Valentine's Day is not about exchanging gifts, wining and dining, selecting the perfect card...All those thing are wonderful, but they are the easy part...Valentine's day is a day to celebrate feelings, not things!...Writing a poem for the one you love, listening to "your" song, remembering a first kiss, a first day, the first time you made love...Valentine's day is a day to remember 'why' you love him, it is a day reserved for reflection and expression...

It's a day that is way too commercialized. I don't need a special day to remind the person I'm with that I love and care for them. The best kind of dates are random spontaneous nights out OR evenings in, wrapped up together. At first I felt all pathetic and sorry for myself for being home this Friday, alone! But why?! IF you don't have anyone to spend it with, it's just another day. Chocolate, a movie and wine for me;)

Other than saying happy valentines day, I don't celebrate it. I want the love, attention, etc throughout the year. Not just one set day

It's about commercialism. Card shop's, flower shop's, gift shop's, want to make as much money as possible from cashing in on our feelings. This is why it's mentioned so much on tv and radio. So is christmas. So is easter. And new year. I know how these things work. Anyway, welcome. Just don't be duped into buying too much? agreed .

There is a certain nationality I'm reffering to but I can't say or I'll be classed as a racist, but they do make nice curry I had chicken curry for the first time last week, it's really really good... I think most men obsess about sex. And some women, too...whatever works.

No it's about finding true love. Nope, its about sharing true love. The kind of true love I'm talking about isn't the type promoted by the media-the boy girl thing. I am talking about sharing some love with the elderly and less privilaged. That's val for mi.

I wish I could move there, but the extreme cold is very bad for me.
