Maria Bamford did a joke where she said If you have a boyfriend who is a pot head and you both work. How much should the boyfriend pay for expenses. I thought half. But the correct answer was zero.
I would think once he has an income he should want to pull his wait and help with bills. If he doesn't then you should probably kick his butt to the curb. |

When my son was staying with me and on holiday from University, he would come out and do roofing jobs with me. I paid him the same rate as the rest of the guys, but never asked him for any keep, as I didn't need it. He insisted that he paid though, as he was staying in my house, eating my food and using my phone, etc. We came to a compromise that suited us both. If my son could do that, it's only fair that your partner pays his share, as soon as his first salary gets paid to him?

Immediately. Slit 'em right down the middle.
I have a boy staying with me and his mama sends me 100.00 a month. I told her, if she sends anything, to only send on weeks check. She makes $175.00 a month. That's 2,000.00 pesos a month. |
