Friends, my family needs your thoughts and prayers right now. My mom was found in her apt today unresponsive and was admitted to the hospital. The dr says she's critical and probably won't make it. My younger daughter had a wreck on her way to the hospital and is stranded in town for now. She lives down by Neosho. My mom doesn't want to be resuscitated so please pray for a painless, comfortable sleep. It's in God's hands

Good news! Although the Dr. said mom isn't out of the woods, she was awake & able to talk a little when I went to see her. The bad news is if she does make it out of the hospital, she may have to go to a nursing home & be on oxygen the rest of her life. BUT, at least she will still be with us. AND she said to thank each & every one of you who sent a payer or good thought. I thank you too! I have some pretty great friends!!!!!

Sorry to hear your family has had such difficulties. I am glad your mom is doing better. Sounds like she has a lot of spunk to recover to your last post so I will keep praying that she continues to improve. It is amazing what is being accomplished. Millions of American's use Oxygen daily and live in nursing homes and still have good quality lives so I would not necessarily buy into the most dire predictions. Depending on placement it can be a great solution for everyone. She will get great loving care, be less lonely, and you can live knowing her environment is tailor made for her. I have a dear friend that I talk to weekly and she says she wish she had gone a couple years earlier she likes her situation so much. With the intense level of care her pain, anxiety, and confusion has reduced significantly. Will hope for similar improvements for her.

Will keep the rest of the family in prayers. Be kind to yourself. This has to have taken a lot out of you. Give yourself time to adjust and catch up.
