Westlife for me...great songs! I know it is all about opinions, but Westlife, a band. A band play their own instruments, surely!! Yes,they do play instruments and create some of their song. I've watched them jam with audience onstage during concerts, they're just not packaged that way...

Black Sabbath Pantera I'm with you on Ozzy and harmony on U2 - Joshua Tree is one of the best recordings ever made...actually prefer rattle & hum live version. I don;t think they have the consistency of some of the others, but they are certainly great. well off to the crazy train...gotta go to work

Deep Purple....probably not since Richie Blackmore never wants to talk about that or the Rainbow stuff anymore.

First time I saw the Eagles was in a little auditorium in Virginia Beach, Virginia that held 700 people. They were the back up band to Procol Harum who had top billing. The Eagle made Procol look like a high school band. The Eagles must have had 40 instruments on stage. Beatles, SuperTramp, ReoSpeedwagon, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Bruce. Lately I've been listening too a lot of the Dave Mattews Band. Dave just took me thru California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana & back home. If I had to pick only one, it would have to be the Eagles. And all the music that's come out of the original members. Eagles it is for all time American Band

The pioneers still,, beatles,ledzep,black sabbath,deep purple..and pink floyd:D

I mainly like rock/metal but surely one of the best bands for songwriting,harmonies and melodies has to be the Beach Boys.Good vibrations, Heroes and Villains, Calofornia girls, Do it again, the list is endless!

have to add Foo Fighters Earth Wind & Fire was a good add - not really my thing, but a good add. For R&B I'd say best all time band ... hmmmm..philly? detroit? philly? detroit???? Isaac Hayes
