As some of you may know, I live in Scotland but when I log on here and check out who's been viewing my profile the majority of them seem to be Americans and it says that they are looking for dating.

Now, I don't think that they are all scammers and I don't want to talk about that because it seems to be a rather touchy subject and as we all know, the staff here work really hard to get rid of them. Besides, most of them don't message me, or even bother to nudge.

I'm not like most other guys and I read their profiles. Well, I read so far but what's the f**king point in reading the whole thing and checking out their stats if it says that they live thousands of miles away?

Why are people that live in America that are looking for dating checking out my profile? How's that going to work? They don't seem to be jet setting millionaires. Do they think that I'm a rock star or something? What's the fascination? Do they just think that they're going to see pictures of me in a kilt? Personally, I think that it's because they are just followers of my brilliant forum posts and they see my picture and think, "He looks nice".

So, come on you lurkers. This thread is your opportunity to tell me how great you think that I am.

j/k I thought if you only want to post to peeps in your country you could fix that in settings or somewhere. Maybe you should check into it...

When you post a lot you get a lot of "curiosity" views. If you take it for what it is and let it go I really don't see the problem. I don't worry about the people on the street that look at me so views don't mean much to me either.

I don't know what you consider when you travel but for women in the USA traveling even accepting a job assignment to Scotland isn't that intimidating. So it may be someone thinking hey someone to network with for business, friendship, even if romance isn't on the table initially I would not rule it out.

The reverse sure is true for American women by out of country travelers. Well actually as big as the USA is even across state lines travelers dating out of their territory is not that uncommon. California is supposedly the sixth largest economy in the world; living in the Capital we have thousands of international visitors any given weekend.

I don't know why it seems so many foreign nationals want American wives but I have quit counting the number of marriage proposals I have gotten not just from men in general from other countries but successful, affluent, leaders that tell me they prefer American women. Considering how diverse we are I don't know how they can lump us together.

Well, I don't know. I don't think that I'm a racist and I've seen Americans on the TV and in the movies and I kind of dig their culture. I guess that they can't bring their guns through customs and I would be safe enough.

I did have a lunatic coming here from Glasgow and she didn't try to rip off any of my stuff and the cleaning lady found a pair of her knickers behind my couch, so I'm in profit just now and could sell their stuff on Ebay I suppose. But I think that it's starting to become like an addiction and maybe I should just quit while I'm ahead.
