Seasons of change
Winter is upon us, Barren skies, spill an icy rain. “Close up the barn,” Across the fields, it fell in vain. The month would be short, As the season would be long. “Bring in more wood,” Would be my fathers’ favorite song. The never ending bitter, Of an everlasting cold. “make sure ya tend to grandma,” she’s getting kinda old. when the wintry freeze, Began its spring retreat. “ready the horses and wagon,” were the words I had to greet. For when the sun finally shown, Its brilliant, fiery face. “make good the tools for fence repair,” workin the fields, must be the case. As seasons come, and seasons go, A farmers work is never done. “Go ahead and take a break,” Sometimes you even get to rest, With the setting of the sun…. Hope ya'll enjoy By Brian C. |
