Is it possible to wait to long? Too meet too soon? These are questions only you can answer. As long as you have the safety factors in place, then all you need to do is follow your heart, take a deep breath, and take that step on finding out if he/she is the one your to be with.

I have waited as long as 4 months of talking and for it only to turn out as friends..but good friends, which is always good..only you know what you feel..met someone after only talking for a week and it was a disaster!

Going to meet someone next Friday! Can't wait...yes it will be in public and if it doesn't work out I am sure we will remain friends..clarify things before you meet..can't go wrong that way!

life is too short to waste time. if they seem like someone worth meeting then meet them and find out what they are really like! they could be wonderful and you wouldn't want to miss a day of that. or not. and you wouldn't want to waste too much emotional energy on *that*....but sooner rather than later - jsh can really only be a quick way to identify possibles. you will never know whether you are truly compatible until you spend some time together in person.

unless, our society gradually changes into one in which there is no direct social contact at all - like the Aurorans - in Asimov's incredible series. 30 years in the making, read them in order. especially recommended if you like intrigue and fantasy. it is amazing how accurately he envisioned the development of both robotics and electronic (internet) communication.
