I would like to know what you mean by being "equals" and why that matters for a "healthy relationship".

I recently had a relationship with a girl that was twenty one years my juniour. The issue of equality never came up, possibly because she didn't have a bunch of feminist notions.

When you talk about being "equals" you are already making it into a power game, which I would argue does not make it a healthy relationship.

I've also got a lady friend that Is older than me. She's more mature than a girl in her twenties and doesn't have as active a lifestyle but that's about it and she's still fun to be around.

What I've learned is that age isn't actually that important. When I talk to women my own age they may have more in common with me, as far as memories about things from the past goes but that's about it. When I got involved with that younger girl she actually liked the old music that I'm into, while a woman that I dated before her that was my age didn't.

When I met that younger woman it was like reliving my youth and that was fun. When I meet older women it's not like that so much and I tend to find them boring. I'm not looking for an "equal" because I'm not ready for the pipe and slippers yet perhaps. Call me immature if you like.

I think in that case they both have to open to adoption.

Good idea, so many children need good homes.

There are many men with much younger wives. Bruce Forsyth spings to mind with about a 25 to 30 year age gap. I'm sure it is a love match and she doesn't stay for his money.

There is a term for it - "trophy wife" when a rich and successful man has a much younger partner.

Actually my Dad married a lady 19 years younger. They were married for almost 20 years and then he had a major head trauma accident. I truly believe that if he did not have that accident, they still would have been married until he passed away. They actually did have a wonderful marriage and got a long great!!!
She is not very much older then I am, so she was more like a sister then a step-mom. If I needed something I would go to her and she would always talk my Dad into anything I wanted! My Dad was so easy going and he always gave in to us.

Yes its getting really old now. I remember the first time I was hit on by a younger man..gues I can say I was shocked, that was 15 yrs ago now. Five yrs younger and I was saying he was too young for me. Now its all gotten so out of hand with men 30 yrs my junior hitting on me.
What is wronng with them?
