Good question. In my case I declared myself ready for a new relationship some two months ago. I've been alone longer than two months, of course, but I wanted to take my time to find my feet again. Not just a bit, but as good as 100%. I didn't want to get involved any sooner than that.
I've been in two LTRs so far, I'm going for third time lucky, and want to make d**n sure all the perimeters are right, at least the ones I can do something about, hahaha.
And the most important perimeter to me is: I can be 100% happy on my own, so I won't need a man to fill a hole in my life, heart or soul.
I got to that point a couple months ago.
So in that sense I've only been available some 2 months
