Hey techies,
Do you know a way around DRM? I purchased music on line but can't download to my iRiver MP3 player due to DRM issues. I've tried to change the file extension from wma to mp3 to no avail. Somebody told me I could convert the file to analog, but how do ya do that???? Thanks |

not if she paid for it
i would say it violates consumer rights law but hey what do i know must of been an apple down load |

you could record the item while playing it then
reload the version you recorded back onto you computer rip it and load it that way as long as you have proof you paid for it |
|

contact the company you purchased it from
and to whom ever voted to delete this topic there is no violation here...she paid for the music and has a right to download it to her player of choice...only violation occuring here is her right to play the music she purchased. |

Sorry - that sucks!! One reason I never buy DRMed music. Have you tried drm-free emusic.com? Boycott DRM, and maybe no one will have to deal with that nonsense down the line.
I agree with adj - burn it to a cd in cd-audio format, and rip it back in the format of your choice. Do you think we'll see the day cops will stop you while jogging (with probable cause, of course) and inspect your DAP for illegal content? |

Thanks very much folks. I hadn't thought of re ripping it. I'll also check out the DRM free site for future purchases.
Thanks. |
