Topic: Time To Say I'm Sorry | |
---|---|
Tis the hardest thing
To admit our frailties Or recollect where we have failed Though our fate Be tossed like a torn kite Course taunted by a twisting wind As we tighten up our sail Though our love be true How quick tongues bite When anger stabs the heart Words quickly said We can't take back Piercing loved ones till they dart. Oh, to take back The bitter breath The hurt in all the angst To realize the impending gift In forgiveness I'd now find thanks. Turmoil slumbers Tears seize each thought Knowing where I failed Fears submerged The loving urge How did we get off trail? Not a word No kind reply Words do not form tonight A friend and lover lies awake The wind echoing my plight. Do not forsake me Oh gentle wind Carry my love afar I calmly claim my love is true Oh send one shining star. Let him feel the love tonight, As tears fill my heart and eyes, Let God impede the hurt he feels, Till he sees clearer skies. Failed, I admit I did, Yet if his love is true Forgiveness shall reach his heart For I forgave him too. Punishment, this moment, Alone I watch the skies, Waiting, wishing, wanting To wipe the tears I know he cries. Swiftly cleanse his mind Ease his hurting heart Let me carry the burdon Send him the promise of this star. SDF 8/31/07 |
