Yesterday I turned on CNN and I was FLOORED!!! All three commentators were bashing Obama for putting politics over the good of the country.

Obama's really stepped in it this time, he is getting bashed from all sides, people are starting to see him for the arrogant piece of $hit he really is. Actors, Polititians, Activists, Unions are all turning against the Fuhrer.

It's to the point where he announced he will now compromise on this slim down. rofl

keep telling yourself that,, there wasn't going to be defunding of the program which was the goal here

the goal will change because that's the only negotiation that's going to happen

omg, there are at least 3 pundits who don't support OBamas refusal to be bullied into delaying the reform that is already LAW?

lol

shock and awe!!

well,Bush signed the Fence on the Mexican Border into Law,then the Democrats took over the Legislature and DEFUNDED the Law!
How about that?
So,what is sooooo unusual about defunding a Law,especially one that didn't even originate in the House?biggrin

Obamacare has been declared a Tax,but only Congress can originate a Bill raising Taxes,NOT the Senate, but,Obamacare originated in the Senate, but the Senate is NOT authorized to levy Taxes!

Obamacare violates the Origination-Clause of the Constitution!
Seems Chief-Justice had more sense when he declared it a Tax,than People gave him credit for!

OMG< its like getting water from a stone

HR 3950 HR. HR. HR!

that means a HOUSE ORIGINATED BILL,,,

With Obama's approval reaching 35%, you know who the hard core supporters are.

his approval is actually 44%, not an extreme difference of 6 percent from the disapproval of 50

so his hard core supporters are no less hardcore than his opposers,,

No. That is just untrue. You shouldn't make stuff up.

"The Associated Press-GfK survey affirms expectations by many in Washington - Republicans among them - that the GOP may end up taking the biggest hit in public opinion from the shutdown, as happened when much of the government closed 17 years ago. But the situation is fluid nine days into the shutdown and there's plenty of disdain to go around.

Overall, 62 percent mainly blamed Republicans for the shutdown. About half said Obama or the Democrats in Congress bear much responsibility.

Most Americans consider the shutdown a serious problem for the country, the poll finds, though more than four in five have felt no personal effect. For those who have, thwarted vacations and a honeymoon at shuttered national parks, difficulty getting work done without federal contacts on the job and hitches in government benefits were among the complaints.

Asked if she blamed Obama, House Republicans, Senate Democrats or the tea party for the shutdown, Blair, an independent, said yes, you bet. All of them. She's paid to fly with a group to four national parks in Arizona and California next month and says she can't get her money back or reschedule if the parks remain closed. "I'm concerned," she said, "but it seems kind of trivial to people who are being shut out of work."

The poll found that the tea party is more than a gang of malcontents in the political landscape, as its supporters in Congress have been portrayed by Democrats. Rather, it's a sizable - and divisive - force among Republicans. More than 4 in 10 Republicans identified with the tea party and were more apt than other Republicans to insist that their leaders hold firm in the standoff over reopening government and avoiding a default of the nation's debt in coming weeks.

Most Americans disapprove of the way Obama is handling his job, the poll suggests, with 53 percent unhappy with his performance and 37 percent approving of it. Congress is scraping rock bottom, with a ghastly approval rating of 5 percent.

lets explain polls,,

there are any number of polls , done in any number of ways, catered to any number of audiences

a 'fox news' poll will yield quite a different result than a cnn poll

a times poll will yield different results than an ELLE poll

gallup is a longstanding poll without a target 'audience' per se like the polls of media outlets

it can be FACT that ONE poll said there is as 37 percent aspproval while another says there is 44 percent

both statements would be FACTS According to the the poll being cited, nothing there is 'made up'

learn what an untruth is

I cited a poll and gave its source, if you can prove that it is 'untrue',,, feel free

in response to an uncited source given as a statement of some broad and absolute truth

'With Obama's approval reaching 35%, you know who the hard core supporters are'

which is true for one poll and not for others and definitely not an absolute,,,

I don't 'push' anything but my opinion and FACTS AND NUMBERS on most occasions to back it up

unlike others who 'push' everything Obama into some grand scheme or personal anti Obama or anti Obama supporter attack, with mostly 'opinions' and very little 'factual' information or researchable proof to back up their regurgitated 'Obama as hitler' soundbytes,,,

Even though the Gallop Poll rating at week end October 6, 2013 stood at 44% approval, you are spinning facts Harmony...In fact, using statements of fact to spin other statements of fact is the oldest spin trick in the book....Your 44% number is correct, but so is Joe's 37%....Your number is "averaged" for the "week" previous to the "day" Joe is referring to...Obama's daily, NOT WEEKLY AVERAGED, approval rating did PLUMET to 37% ...His WEEKLY AVERAGE for that drop to 37% won't be available to the public until next week...

I think what is more interesting are these official Gallop Pole ratings....

The president's "averaged" approval rating for the week of Sept. 30 thru Oct. 6 stood at 44%, his "averaged" disapproval rating stood at 50%....

For the week of Jan. 1 thru Jan 6, 2013 his approval rating stood at 53% reflecting a drop of 9% and his disapproval rating stood at 40% reflecting an increase in 10%....

According to polling dates from 1938 thru present, the average approval rating for U.S. presidents is 54%....

It's 37% and dropping. Like I said, approaching 35%.

according to an ONLINE poll,,,

from the same article:
Comparisons could not be drawn conclusively with how people viewed leaders before the shutdown because the poll was conducted online, while previous AP-GfK surveys were done by telephone. Some changes may be due to the new methodology, not shifts in opinion. The poll provides a snapshot of public opinion starting in the third day of the shutdown

from the longstanding and trusted GALLUP POLL, his approval is at 44 percent

I don't make stuff up, IM actually big on cross checking references and RESEARCHING more than just the first opinion that agrees with mine,,

Ahhhh. The spin. The AP poll of Obama being 37% is what all the pundits on both sides of the aisle are discussing. For you to state as fact that it is actually 44% because you found it in another poll (that no one was discussing) is the ultimate is falsehood and spin.

Obama, what a loser you are!!....laugh laugh

Thanks for posting the OFFICIAL GALLOP POLL REPORT Harmony!....In case anyone missed it, I'll post it again...

Yes, sources and figures are easier to defend than a constant stream of lies and blaming others.
