Without is my preference. I like to use my imagination. There were several poets on this site who would post with pics and when they have both gifts....That was a real pleasure. You could see precisely into their minds/souls eye.

No pictures thankyou very much. I prefer to use my imagination. I don't really like poetry but I do enjoy Goethe's Faust. Very dark.

Its better without pictures.The beauty of poetry is best when you allow the reader to conjure the picture in the mind,not sight

Thank you both and i tend to agree
Youtube is for video and i even made a couple poems posted there
with pictures
But i try and paint a visual in my readers minds with my writing

There's nothing wrong with adding photos as decorations...it's just that I wouldn't feel short-changed or anything if I opened a poetry book and there weren't any.:thumbsup:
