The corporatization of America!

On the day Bennie Coleman lost his house, the day armed U.S. marshals came to his door and ordered him off the property, he slumped in a folding chair across the street and watched the vestiges of his 76 years hauled to the curb.

Movers carted out his easy chair, his clothes, his television. Next came the things that were closest to his heart: his Marine Corps medals and photographs of his dead wife, Martha. The duplex in Northeast Washington that Coleman bought with cash two decades earlier was emptied and shuttered. By sundown, he had nowhere to go.

All because he didn�t pay a $134 property tax bill.

These programs are run by a tree of public servants. At the bottom of the tree are the mindless bureaucrats who daily rubber-stamp such actions and idle away their days with private conversations of their favorite football teams or personal relationships. The upper branches of the tree are equally mindless bureaucrats who earn salaries well in excess of $100,000 a year and could care less about the "public" or being a "servant" to what is right and proper.

Volunteer Little League coaches serve the public better than the entire "kickback-encrusted" Federal Government.

What kind of sense does our government have? NONE!! For someone to lose their home over a measley few dollars when trillions are being spent unwisely that ALL of us will be paying for, along with all U.S. citizens long after we are dead is wrong.

The common sense would be thinking that former homeowners could cost the government more after they have lost their homes so forgive the small amounts of property tax owed or set up pay back deadlines,etc.. but do not kick them out.

This type of thing is a perfect illustration of who REALLY owns property in this country. Here's a hint, it ISN'T us! When the state can come and take something away from you like this because you didn't pay them something......you never owned the thing to begin with, you merely rented it from them. We really own nothing in terms of land......it's all state property.
