No TV ??? No NCIS...No Castle??? I'm rethinking visiting over there!
The reason for no TV is because I rent this place & it is owned by the local aerial installer. He will fit up an aerial for me, but it will cost $350. In other words, he wants me to pay him $350 to put an aerial on his house! Currently, there's nowt worth watching & certainly nothing worth that kinda gold!! Actually "sky" will put up an aerial for "free". The catch is that I have to subscribe to them for 6 months @ $100 / month. That's not a go-er either.

I certainly can understand that..I let go my satelite service because it cost too much..but went down to the local Radio Shack and bought a HD Antenna for under 40 bucks..only get local shows, but I can only watch one channel at a time anyway

The satellite company charges per box per room so I spent $10 for an antenna downstairs and only get the local channels. But every month I keep thinking that I'm going to get rid of the satellite box in the living room. I even called once, they offered me a deal to keep it and I just have basic channels on it. But it was a deal that was too good to resist. I'll wait about a year and go to cancel again and see what they offer then. Who knows, maybe they'll go free on the basic tier like regular tv one day. One can only hope (sigh)... But I actually am fine with the antenna downstairs. Especially when everyone else wants to watch something I DON'T want to watch in the livingroom

Awww the heck with it, I just got cable. Surrendering the big bucks to big monopolies...while eating purple crayons.

Just having my coffee trying to wake up..It was after one before I finally went to sleep last night..too keys up from the show and the tear down was awfull...took us 9 hrs to set up and 2 to break down..it was a mad house. 150 venders trying to all leave at once..

Aww Carol, I didn't get this message until now.. I had already left by the time you posted.. I was on the west end of Galveston Island, just west of "WOODYS" biker bar..imagine that! lol Would have loved to meet you! Temps were around 80 all week, with some showers but we were on the go a lot. On Thursday the Longhorn Biker Rally started, I timed that trip just right! Can't wait to go back!!

Morning everyone Getting my xmas tree out of the garage today and will be putting it up before I leave for Phoenix on the 14th.. I'm having outpatient surgery on my eyes(having my eyelids lifted) 2 days before Thanksgiving so need to get that done now. Also have several appts before I go, will be a busy week before I go.
