Still trying to be smarter than my mom. Its a losing battle. I go check up on her and she comes to check up on me. Was telling her about the great breakfast buffet they have at this one restaurant because it only cost me $6.15 and she told me I should have went to the other restaurant up the hill where it is only $4.15. She is always trying to outdo me. Thought I would show her some of the stuff I learned at the nursing home with my nephew Nate who has been in a coma for 13 years. As usual she showed me some easier ways. Between her and my other five sisters who are nursing assistants I give up. She thanked me but I give up on trying to teach them anything.

*NEWSFLASH* The reason why it's a losing battle is because 99% of parents ARE smarter than their teenagers! I thought I was smarter than mine, and my teenager thinks (sometimes, but not all the time these days) that she's smarter than me. Then she's shocked that I'm right EACH and EVERY time.
Gee, can you imagine? Yes, we make mistakes, but for the most part, we ARE smarter. I mean, there are a lot of knucklehead parents out there, but basically, it just is what it is. You must accept that! |
