So in 3 months I went off site and had 3 different guys try to scam me. Lesson learned I will never give out my number or regular email again. But now someone from the forums has been sending me kisses hugs for several days. I finally responded saying what had happened and I was only here for the forums and friends. He sent an email calling me baby and poem saying I'm yours and so forth. I said I don't go for someone saying that on a first email. He came back being all nasty saying he knew why I was scammed I was a cold b.... Who would want to be my friend etc. so I blocked him. But really I've had it I try to be nice and how I attract these jerks I have no clue

Hi pkh!
You attract them because you are a woman and because you are nice looking at that! You have a nice smile and possibly they think you may be an easy target! To them any woman is a potential easy target! Blocking them is great for you but not for the rest of us! Please reconsider and "report" them with one of the inappropriate e-mails. The folks here are awesome at monitoring and if his behavior continues he will be deactivated so the rest of us don't have to mudder through. JMHO

I've been doing the same and leaving it up to the site to monitor them! Another one bites the dust!!! WooHoo!!! And yes... it's getting old! I figure we all need to watch out for each other!

What's getting old is people whining about it. So..... stop whining about it! Some of us are actually trying to prevent someone from getting "taken" or getting "hurt". You do not need to approve but thank you for your feedback! Respectfully yours!

I'm sure that you would. The guy thought that he was doing something nice by writing you a poem. He was upset by your response to it. It happens sometimes. Just my opinion but I think that if you have a problem with another Mingle member you should take it up with the mods instead of starting gossip on the forum. It matters not to me though and I'm just saying that we only have your side of the story and you already knew about blocking and reporting, so what do you want us to say about it? |

Well Tawt, no offense but you are wrong, they won't go away. A lot of the guys I have seen are on the scammers/fraud website with the same photos but endless amount of names. Even if you report them, they'll just advertise again with the same picture and different name. They will try to get money out of you and to try to prevent them from doing it to you or someone else, the best thing to do is report them. It also doesn't hurt to spread the word. Posting that there are people out here like that might even work better than reporting them. I have clearly even posted on my profile that #1 I won't give out my email address, #2 won't carry on a long distance relationship, #3 won't let them get what I own, money or otherwise. This still does not stop them. They will still put you on their "Favorites", or Nudge you, or send a Friend request (even when you tell them not to do it). The only quality they have is that they are "PERSISTENT". For some reason they think that all "older" women are so desperate for a man that they will believe anything. I even put in my profile that I am retired from a Law Enforcement Agency, and they still think they can con me. So don't listen to Tawt--report them every single time they try to make contact and keep mentioning it in the forums. When I woke up this morning it was still our God-given right to have freedom of speech. Or did I miss something?
