I have lived and visited places where they do just that,,,,

they pay more for the sense of security to be ABLE to do that,,,

Uh, the last time that I checked, people living in the poorest of neighborhoods also lock their doors and windows. They don't have to pay more in order to do so.

yep, people in the poorest neighborhoods do

people who live in HIGHER END neigborhoods are much more likely to be comfortable leaving doors unlocked


but that's just my experience in those high end neighborhoods
