I shouldn't miss you as much as I do
But I do
Missing the way you talk, how you laugh at my silliness
How you always know when I am serious
How you always know when I am lost or afraid
How I make you blush when I compliment you in any way
How I make you laugh and forget your sadness if only for a moment
I miss you more than I should
It causes me to wonder if this is something you feel too
Or am I just seeing what I want to see
So I write you and tell you simply that I miss you
I find myself thinking about you so many times during my day
Wanting to talk with you and just see your face
Wanting to reach out and hold your hand
I know deep down I see you more than just a friend
And this is why I miss you more than I should...
