Held capture by the waves as they crash
shells line the beach glistening in the sun
my feet wet yet not cold as the tide is warm
and i take to my knees and feel the sand
billions of tiny grains slip through my fingers
like moments in life we just cant hold on to
better to have and let go of then never to feel
only sadness comes from avoiding oppertunity
some things were not meant to be yet we must try
just for our own piece of mind we simply must
when i find moments alone i question myself
and with the truth in my heart i face another day
