I know it sounds like I'm complaining lately but I'm really trying to get this. Every email I get that I answer the very next one says lets go to yahoo chat which I won't leave the site. So tell me why have they joined Mingle and then want to get off right away they can't all be scammers?

No, they are not all scammers. Some want to get you "off site" asap for different unsavory reasons. Such as to send or get you to send nude photos, cyber sext or other such things.

On the rare occasion, like one in a gazillion, they really do not get on the site much and it is easier to use their other email. But usually those folks will be willing to chat with you here until you are comfortable with moving off site.

My job involves dealing with online bank fraud, and I can tell you that wanting to immediately leave the environment where you've "met" the person is a huge red flag.

2KidsMom is so right. You might find a link that could install malware on your computer, or have unpleasant pictures sent to you.
