It's Saturday and you've already been drinking? I only wish Kim has been trying to get me to meet her tonight... I have not had anything to drink n a week believe it or not.. I came down with the worst case of strep throat I have had in my life... went to work Tuesday had to leave within and hour high fever and I was hurting... Headed to the Doctor got results of the test shot , meds home in bed for two days... Thursday called the Dr. back got more meds finally felt alive on Friday.... Still on several meds ....no liquor will pass these lips heck since Tuesday the only solid food I have had is a egg sandwich other then that it has only been soups, yogurt & jello...... Last thing on my mind is drinking unless it is ice tea  But good news is I feel 75% better now just a couple more days of rest and watch out world  Good note is all my shopping is finished down to the liquor for vacation. Now to get everything together and packed...

Ya I'm glad when it happen as well... sucks this is the second time this year I had a viral throat infection back in may no where near this bad...
But blessed I work where I do I had to take two days off and was surprised when I went back to work Thursday even though I was still not feeling good but did not want to leave them in a bind. Due to Thursday and Friday are the two main days due to bills and payroll going out that I need to be there..I almost asked to go home and hour early cause I was starting to feel really bad.. Then my brother came to my desk and said ohh when you do payroll in the morning pay yourself your full 40 hours. He said that him and Joe (his partner) had talked about it and they knew I was counting on it for vacation. They both knew I should have stayed home another day... I love my job  I could not work for two better people... Lol Good thing his partner & best friend likes me too

Mayhaps you were "moonlighting". I are confuzzled Ray I did wait tables for about 6 months in between while unemployment ran out till about 3 months after I got this job. Prior to unemployment I worked 13 years for a construction company as Office Mgr. But before that I did wait tables & was a Bartender for years... Now it's just office work only now... Waiting tables about killed me too damn hard for me anymore lol... Maybe your thinking about Carol she is a waitress. |

I R even more confuzled now. Somewhere I'm sure I read where someone was being paid $2.36/ hr., and was expected to make up their wages with tips. Disregarding the legality of that arrangement for a moment, (a)tipping is NOT encouraged in NZ, hence wages would be non existant, & (b) here,if your 18 plus, you can't be paid less than 15.25/ hr.BY LAW!! You can't leave school till your 16, & in between 16 & 18 you have to be paid a minimum of 60% of the adult rate. Quite why I thought it was you who was waiting tables, I cannot say. Perhaps the brain was short of caffiene

Heck when I was waiting tables even this last time pay was like $2.15 and hour plus tips. And well min wage here is only $8.25 think we are getting screwed somewhere in the deal...
