Didn't you know that now even genes can be patented. Monsantos has those soy beans and whatever else that they have engineered. I'm sure if they wanted to they could mess up marijuana plants too.

By the way. I personally don't use anything illegal. I'd prefer not to tempt my fate and stay out of prison so I don't have to be Buba the bull queer's girlfriend. hahaha

Uninformed garbage...Know much about the genetics of a marijuana plant?

It is obvious you have no clue about the law, so I'm inclined to believe you have no clue about the specific genetics of a marijuana plant either.

But please, by all means; prove me wrong.

Actually I have a Bachelors in Criminal Justice dude. I don't recall the name of the documentary. But it was about how Monsantos got a patent on a soy bean and then used that to practically force other farms to shut down that weren't using their beans because their genetically patented plant would cross pollinate with the other farms plants.

I didn't claim to know anything about genetics. Just that it can be patented because of that company.

Here is a fact about the law I learned from one of my professors who worked for the FBI or I think it was him. Maybe it was one of the others. But no state can make a law that is less than the Federal law. They can make laws that are heavier in punishment then the Federal law. Such as If Federal law says that a person going 20 MPH over the limit requires a time of no less than 6 months in jail. Then all states are supposed to enforce that law and nothing less. But they can say that isn't enough and have a law that says the minimum punishment is 8 months in jail. This is why any officer even in a state where they claim that pot is legal can bust your *** for possession of marijuana because of the Federal laws on it. It is not truly legal unless it is legal by Federal law.

Basically all that state law means is that the state isn't going to say go bust those pot heads over there.

Yes, but they go after dispensaries and nothing typically happens...If you look out your window due East you might catch some of it; they close them down, then they reopen, the case gets tossed and usually doesn't see court because they refuse to press charges.

So while you're blabbing on about what you learned, I'm telling you what I see.

It is basic economics in this case...It costs a lot of money to bring a federal case against anyone for any reason; it in that doesn't make sense to bring a federal case against a bunch of stoners, and when I say a bunch of stoners I'm talking about a ton of people.

Say it costs 10 aluminum cans for one federal case, just for the sake of comparison, now multiply that by an eighth of the population for reasons of a more manageable number: 1/8*5mil=62,500 -- 62,500*10=625,000 aluminum cans.

That is called discretion. It is something that every person from the cop on the street to the judge in the courtroom can exercise. When you get pulled over for speeding the cop doesn't have to give you the ticket. They can let you go with a warning.

Another thing officers like to do is to press as many charges as they can on an offender to keep him or her off the street as long as possible. So even if they think the charge of possession might get tossed out. They can still tack it on to give the possible heavier sentence.

Plus you're talking about government. I see a lot of illogical things done by government. Like pissing away more money then it can possibly pay back. If the people in government are that retarded. Then all you need is the right or wrong person (depending on how you look at it) to get into office and turn everything in a different direction. Logic doesn't always win over.

They can only patent genetically modified seeds. They cannot patent natural plants.

That would be a case in point where logic doesn't win over.

I think it should be that the people who are growing those genetically modified plants should have to keep them in green houses with high amounts of control so they don't have that cross pollination problem. I think if I was a farmer and my farm was next to one of those farms and their plants infested my crops. I would sue the pants off of them because I didn't want their crap in my field. Their crap infested my field. I didn't plant it. So I would say they owe me for the damage they cause to my crops. But I don't wan to be a farmer. So chances are unless I buy a farm and hire people to work it just so I can sue people who design plants that infest my crops. I guess I will never do that. hahaha

One last thing. You said I didn't know anything about the law. The fact of the matter is that I do know a lot about the law. I don't know why you asked me what I knew about genetics when all I proposed about that was that a company if they wanted to could probably mess up marijuana plants just like they have soy beans and I think they've even done it to other plants now too. If I mention missiles are you going to ask me what I know about rocket science?

That would be a battle against Monsanto.... a giant EVIL corporation.

A lot of people feel the same way.

I knew the name of the corporation. I just figured in case there are others like it which there are bound to be sooner or later. Then I would do the same to them.
