If you block them you can still see their profile and vice versa. There just can be no communication between the two of you.

Hippie is correct. Profiles are public. Blocking them only blocks contact. Hope this helps, Kim Site Moderator

Is this possible to do? What does blocking do? "Blocking a user will prevent them from communicating in any fashion. Blocking will also prevent that user from appearing in the results for any searches you conduct." So, I just tested this, and it still allows you to 'View' them if you Search by username.

I need to block someone as a possible scammer but I don't have microsoft outlook and can't send the email. I googled this person and saw there name come up as a scammer on another site. Don't know what to do?

Unfortunately, they will appear in the 'people you may be interested in' too. blech. haha well fortunately, that is a revolving, widely-based pool so you would not see them there real often :-)

You can report suspected scammers, by clicking the 'report abuse/spam' link on any email you have received from them, or by clicking the 'report this user' link on the person's profile. The person will not know you've reported them. Alternatively, you can send me the user name, exactly as it appears. Thanks, Mark
