Two ships Like two ships Passing in the night We hear no whispers We saw no light Do you not see My ship of light Or are the stars Burning so bright I toss you rope You refuse offhand You hate so much You’d rather hit land My ship sails on Not dreary like yours All because you are afraid Of two ships in the night
