I see similarities in the style of the serpent when he first tempted eve to disobey God (why cant you also eat that tree? its not fair..what harm can it do? God just doesn't want you to be a God, God just doesn't want you to be happy ,,,why would he put it there if you weren't to have any,,etc,,) its the same enticement he uses today on the world,,,, We can say the same thing about any behavior that isn't pleasing to God. A person can be straight sexually-speaking and still be living a godless life. So, why single out homosexuals for criticism? Sadly, it isn't exclusively non-Christians that Satan is whispering to. It is becoming too common for professed Christians to try to serve two masters when it comes to the topic of sexual behavior. For example, on another website, I encountered a lesbian who claims to be a devout Christian, and yet, she insists that God has blessed her sexual relationship with another woman. I wasn't singling anyone out really, although the thread is titled 'gay vs god' my point was actually about the WORLD being enticed by the devil with the arguments of 'what can it hurt',, 'why would he allow it to be possible' 'why wouldn't he want you to be equal to him, or to be happy,,',,,etc,, this line of thought can follow all types of backsliding, from sexual amorality to greed, ,,,,, |
