Sheeple is just another word to label people. And people that like to call others sheeple are sheeple themselves since they seem to be following all the other people who use the term.

Sheeple is just another word to label people. And people that like to call others sheeple are sheeple themselves since they seem to be following all the other people who use the term. It's a descriptive.... as is: Union, marriage, board, conglomorate, Incorporation, group, caste, gov't, etc, etc, etc..... So by your definition anyone who is a follower of one is a follower of all? Liberal logic |

I Think its just the point that everyone is 'following' something if we define following as a tendency to believe something that others also believe....

Sheeple (a portmanteau of "sheep" and "people") is a term in which people are likened to sheep, a herd animal. The term is used to describe those who voluntarily acquiesce to a suggestion without critical analysis or research.
Usage The label originated in the United States, and designates people who tend to accept and take statements at face value, especially if it is cited in mainstream media or religion. "The Wall Street Journal first reported the label in print in 1984; the reporter heard the word used by the proprietor of an American Opinion bookstore affiliated with the John Birch Society.[1] In this usage, taxpayers were derided for their blind conformity as opposed to those who thought independently.[2] Shortwave radio host Milton William Cooper used the term commonly during his Hour of the Time radio show during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The label had been used by authors of fiction: as a title for Canada's ex-MP Garth Turner's 2009 book, also in numerous other works.[citation needed] The term is also used more broadly to describe any person who the speaker feels is exceedingly conformist. Governance The term can also be used for those who seem inordinately tolerant, or welcoming, of what can be perceived by the speaker as government overreach. In a column entitled "A Nation of Sheeple," columnist Walter E. Williams writes, "Americans sheepishly accepted all sorts of Transportation Security Administration nonsense. In the name of security, we've allowed fingernail clippers, eyeglass screwdrivers and toy soldiers to be taken from us prior to boarding a plane."[3] See also Argumentum ad populum Bandwagon effect Brainwashing Conformity Crowd psychology Doublethink Dumbing down Freethought Group behaviour Groupthink Gullibility Herd behavior Indoctrination Ochlocracy Propaganda Psychological manipulation Slacktivism Superficiality http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheeple |

such a broad and vague topic....so I leave you with this..."People are people so why should it beeee You and I should get along so awfullyyyyy" In terms of anything, allllll people are sheeple.... most people use their own judgment/discernment/life experiences to come to their conclusions,,,,by that definition,, not everyone is a sheeple but EVERYONE is going to belong to a larger group of people who share their perception, or their opinion, or their culture, ,,,,and if that's all it takes to allegedly be a 'sheeple',,,than everyone is,,,, |

Thank you, CeriseRose, for that definition of sheeple.
The people who dislike the word, have probably, at some time been accused of being one. The people who use the word, eventually will be called "terrorist." |

That's exactly why the people using those fake words nowadays don't make sense! language is always evolving 500 years ago you would have pronounced the "e" in syllable 300 hundred years ago such words did not exist in the english language such as: taco, chi, creole, hipster, lightbulb, car lanuage is continuously evolving - if someone says it and others understand it is a word slang would be the correct descriptor for "sheeple" slang has also made it into the dictionary: ain't IS an example lol (sorry for the lengthy diatribe. my mom was an english teacher) |
